Here's a few photo's (I don't know why they look blue) of our place when we were iced in for 4 days. The bad thing about livin up here on the (Flint) Ridge-----is the roads are all twisty-turvy and very slippery when ice comes. It's just not worth the chance to try and drive someplace. At least half the Ridge was w/o power. We were lucky and had plenty of food and power. Although our pellet stove was out temperarily.
It sure was beautiful. We are ready to go out now. We read a lot, and I knitted and and we watched some movies. Cozy...... Of course we still have February to get through.
My poor daughter went without power for 6 or 7 days!!!! Thank goodness they have a fireplace and a wood stove they could cook on-----and a gas hot water heater! They cooked many meals on their wood stove----good learning experience for the kiddos!

Beautiful pictures!! Glad you were sitting pretty for a few days. It's nice to have power and it's miserable to be without it. When I was a little girl, our neighborhood went without power but our house was in good shape. Everyone came over and we played games and had a lot of fun. Great memories.
Good post!
